Meet The Band

For those of you who haven’t already seen on Twitter / Facebook / wherever else, Rivers & Robots is no longer just a solo project! Back in November, I (Jonathan) decided it was time to expand the project to a band and start really working towards live shows and new material. And so, without further ado, I’m super excited to introduce the Rivers & Robots band! (In alphabetical order, except me…)

Jonathan

Jonathan

Who?

I started Rivers & Robots back in 2010 and made the first two albums at home. I sing, play keys, loops and other crazy sounds. I also design websites (like this one!)

Untrue fact

Jonathan actually contributed the trumpet riff to the intro of Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie”.

Dave

Dave

Who?

Dave is our guitar maestro, and is also a great singer, songwriter, worship leader and video editor. He’s bringing guitar parts, harmonies, riffs and whalesong to the band!

Untrue fact

He once wrote a song for the King of Norway, who, although he denies it ever happened, still uses it as his ringtone.

Kelani

Kelani

Who?

Kelani is our mega drummer who also leads worship, sings, writes songs, and sometimes wears tights. He’s responsible for providing ‘sick beats’ and is also a pretty great cook!

Untrue fact

Kelani has a collection of 24 hand-made egg shakers, one for each key, which he keeps on him at all times.

Nathan

Nathan

Who?

Nathan is our bass player / singer / percussionist extraordinaire. Again, he also leads worship, sings and writes songs! He already has albums from bands that don’t exist yet.

Untrue fact

Nathan almost had a career as a bollywood dancer, but turned it down to help out with the band.
